 Controls 101

Technical Session Description: In this course, attendees will learn the basic concept of building automation systems (BAS). Further, they will understand the value of both energy conservation and occupant comfort/safety provided by the BAS. The course will also discuss the basic concepts of controlling equipment versus systems while touching on the value of data and data visualization. Finally, a basic overview of analytics as they pertain to today's BAS and buildings will be provided.

Dinner Meeting Description: Building Automation Systems have evolved to meet the growing demand of achieving sustainable solutions for the built environment through fault detection algorithms, analytics and data visualization. This course is designed to provide the attendees with an understanding of typical BAS energy savings strategies. Additional topics include an overview of fault detection & diagnostics, analytics, and data visualization.

Micahel Facente- Automated Logic Corporation

Tech & Dinner Sessions Speaker Bio: Michael Facente is the North East Regional Sales Manager for Automated Logic. Responsibilities include product and sales support for field offices located in the mid-Atlantic up through Newfoundland. With almost twenty years tenure at Automated Logic, Michael has held a variety of roles including manager of both Technical Support and Training. Prior to his current position, Michael spent over five years as an Account Sales Manager in the OEM division where he was responsible for selling and supporting factory mounted controllers.
