April 2017 Dinner Meeting: Joint Meeting with AEE CT

 Submitting a Custom Project for Incentive to Energize CT Efficiency Programs

Technical Session Description: This Technical Session will cover the basic program rules and requirements for submission of projects for rebates with the Energize CT Efficiency Program. It will answer a few common questions...

  1. What projects we can and cannot consider.
  2. How to determine the proper baseline for costs and energy calculations.
  3. What information to submit.

David J. Bebrin, CEM, CDSM, BEP, CSDP - Eversource Energy

CEM = Certified Energy Manager

CDSM = Certified Demand-Side Management Professional

BEP = Certified Business Energy Professional

CSDP = Certified Sustainable Development Professional

Tech Session Speaker Bio: David Bebrin is a Senior Engineer for Eversource Energy. He has 28 years of experience working in energy efficiency and load management. Dave has knowledge of all aspects of the energy efficiency industry from program planning, design, implementation, and quality control/ quality assurance to evaluation and project contact arranger. For nearly eight years, Dave led NU's nationally recognized "Energy Conscious Program" and "Tailored HVAC Program." His specialties include energy analysis of new technologies, chillers and school construction.

Before entering the energy field, Dave was an instructor of engineering at The University of Connecticut. He has an MS in Mechanical Engineering specializing in dynamics and controls, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He has been active in community service coaching baseball, soccer and basketball, as well as a Wolcott Schools Building Projects committee member. Dave also has a Patent Pending for an artificial Christmas tree storage container.

New Construction Energy Efficiency Programs

Dinner Session Description: This session will discuss the New Construction Energy Efficiency Programs offered by the Energize CT program for new commercial building in the State of Connecticut. It will go over the process and programs offered to the end user. This session will also highlight the economic incentives and how to get into the program. 

 

Dinner Session Speaker:

Jordan Schellens, Eversource Energy

Dinner Session Speaker Bio: Jordan is an Energy Efficiency Consultant for Eversource Energy. She is the team lead for the commercial new construction program. Jordan has 8 years of experience working with energy efficiency. Her career started at NYSERDA working on design and implementation of the existing facilities program. In 2011, she moved to New York City to work on the NYSERDA new construction program with a focus on hospitals and colleges and universities. Jordan started with Eversource in June 2015 focusing on new construction energy efficiency, program design, and program growth. Jordan has a BA in Environmental Policy from Union College.
